Wrightsville Beach June Fishing is GOOD!

We are catching plenty of Blues and Spanish up and down the coast line and out to 2-4 miles casting and trolling spoons or jigs.  Flounder fishing has picked up off the beach with some solid keeps being boated.  Bottom fishing is good to off the beach to fill up a quick cooler.  Early morning, up to an hour os so after sunrise we have had a good drum top water bite fishing the bays behind Masonboro Island and Figure Eight Island using top water skitterwalks or top dog Jrs.  The dock fishing up and down the ICW continues to be good as we are catching solid upper slot redfish using cut or live mullet, popcorn poggies , or cut blue crab chunks on a carolina rig. Wrightsville Fishing May Report

We continue to catch solid size and amount of Spanish Mackerel, and Blues trolling and casting off the beaches.     In the deeper water with structure flounder fishing has turned on with keepers and smaller flounder mixed in.   Cobia are around as well, with an opportunity to catch theses fish daily till the End of June.  Inshore the drum fishing has been good as well with the fish biting on live bait, cut or live mullet,  and an array of topwater plugs and spoons.   Call us for reservations @ 252-617-0024 or check out FB for instant daily reports and adventures.

Wrightsville Beach Spring Fishing Charters

The fishing around our area is getting into the spring time groove.  Reds are dispersing through the marshes and creeks,  we are catching some nice keeper black drum as well as solid slot reds using topwater baits, to fishing with cut shrimp in the docks.  We have started picking up good numbers of flounder off the beaches with some solid keepers starting to show up. A couple of Bull drum are staring to bite around the inlets and close to shore spots. Spanish, Blues, and kings are all biting good from 1 to 10 miles out.   Cobia in WILM are slow!!  We offer Cape Look out Cobia trips through June sight casting to these awesome fighters.  Kid fishing is on fire!!! First Cobia Of The Season

Its May 3, and the cobia are starting to show up.  We sight casted past a 400 lb leather back turtle to the underlying fish.  Didn’t take long.  wam…. Cobia on!  First day looking, not a big fish but a great  start to the season.   We saw quite a few turtles and a giant sunfish. A truly amazing fish around 300 lbs plus??   We have charters available daily.  Call for reservations.

Winter is Over

Spring is here and and the weather is showing more signs of warming up each week.  We have charters available every day starting May 1st thought spring and Summer.   We Love Spring…. The Cobia show up!   we chase these fish hard along the shores of southern NC.  We also are fishing for lots of other fish such as Spanish Mackerel, Red Drum, Sea Trout, King Mackerel, Flounder and much more.

Giant Drum Fishing

CAST & BLAST for Blue Wing teal and old drum on the Neuse River and Pamlico Sound available in September.   Drum bite has been strong here in Wrightsville lately.  Plenty of tug of war action going on here at the end of summer. Plenty of good fishing to do and it only gets better from here till winter.  And don’t count out the cold months.  We have awesome fishing or hunting year round with Green Creek!  Call us for details.


Duck Season is Coming Quick!!

We have a great fall and winter ahead of us.  Here at Green Creek we look forward to changing seasons.  After fishing all summer, Fall means Duck Hunting!!!!!  We are booking fast this year.   Over the past week we have booked  10 more days of duck hunting.  We have plenty of opening but don’t wait much longer. Weekends and holidays book first.  Weekdays fill in.  I expect to be 100% booked by end of September so get you reservation for one jamb up Open waterDuck hunt on the Pamlico Sound. We can handle parties up to 12 including accommodations and meals.


Hot July Fishing


Wrightsville Beach fishing has been really hot this July.  Big flounder have been lurking in the deep dark cool spots. Plenty of Spanish Mackerel to put in the box.  And live baiting for Drum on the ICW docks has been Good as well.  A few top water bites early in the morning for trout and drum.   Clamming has been good as we can pick around a 100 clams an hour.



Wrightsville Summer Fishing

Summer solstice was this weekend and the moon was full.  I took the weekend off for fathers day but the  fishing remains good.  Plenty of chances at drum and flounder and sheapheads in the shade on the hot days.  We run fishing charters  out of Carolina Beach and Wrightsville Beach.  Call for reservations as our summer days are booking fast.
